The Tory Burch store located on 257 Elizabeth Street hosted an exclusive shopping event with Girls Quest. The evening was co-hosted by Felecia Webb, Monica Sherer and Nichole Wright.
Cocktails were be served throughout the evening, and guests received a 10 percent discount on all purchases. Tory Burch also donated a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Girls Quest.

Board President Emeritus Harold D. Elish received the Volunteer Recognition Award and Teen Leaders Samantha Andino, Audra Clyburn, Lindsay Wangnoon, and Sherise Williams each received the Teen Leader Recognition Award for their dedicated service and commitment to the Girls Quest and NYC communities. On Wednesday, October 24, 2007, Girls Quest’s Young Professionals Committee (YPC) hosted its kick-off event at Local, located at 1004 Second Avenue from 7-9 PM. Over 50 guests were treated to a 2-hour open bar and appetizers, and had the opportunity to learn more about Girls Quest and socialize with young professionals from NYC. Girls Quest had its first Children’s Cultural Book Fair, in partnership with Society Coffee and Kids’ Cultural Books, at Society Coffee, 2104 Frederick Douglas Boulevard, New York, NY. The event included book signings from two celebrated and critically-acclaimed children’s authors: Tonya Bolden, author of 33 Things Every Girl Should Know and Rita Williams Garcia, author of No Laughter Here.
